I posses demonstrated knowledge and understanding of chronic mental illness, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. I am proficient in clinical assessment, crisis stabilization, and short- and long-term individual counseling using an array of therapeutic modalities.  I am trained in conflict resolution/management, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention. In addition to therapy, I am experienced in providing clinical supervision for Associate Clinical Social Workers & Marriage Family Therapist Interns and Field Instructor Supervision for MSW Interns.

My Approach

I provide a solution focused, person centered approach in a safe, therapeutic environment as one explored the direction, goals, and focus of the path one desires. The objectives of this experience is self-examination, promotion of autonomy, facilitation of personal growth and insight. In addition, this process lends itself to assessing one’s experience through multiple lenses that could provide greater insight on obstacles interfering with goal attainment.

My experience as a licensed clinical social worker includes working with individuals and their families seeking to address issues related to anxiety, depression, Asperger’s Syndrome, identity issues, abuse (physical, emotional, sexual), along with co-occurring substance related issues. Along with my clinical experience, I enjoy the opportunity to train and supervise Associate Clinical Social Workers and Marriage & Family Therapist Interns. Pursuing licensure is  vital and rewarding process. I enjoy working with those who are motivated to further their professional development, explore & enhance clinical skills, as well as offering support and guidance in preparation for licensure.
